morgandude, I do appreciate that fact. I hope that Brawn in the 3 week lay off may have addressed this situation with getting heat into their tyres when it's a cool or wet day. We shall see.

20c this week won't mean the same for the BGP001, more breaking means more heat in the tyre also they have supersofts this weekend so they should be good even better than RB if they can go longer on them. Also will be interesting to see the affect of Geoff Willis departure from Red Bull how they manage to deal with that over the next few races..

So even the German weather is their fault? LOL Remember that they made formula one what it is, without them you would be sat with your thumb in your Erky on a sunday afternoon. I don't love Bernie and Max, nor do I hate them, they are who they are and do what they do, no more no less. anyway, it'll be interesting to see who has the speed in the wet this weekend, don't think it'll be Brawn, Red bull are looking good without even turning a wheel. Brawn will have to work hard to understand their car in a wet environment, they should use this weekend for testing and damage limitation.

f1billy the McLaren is shed of a car, and a wet race isn't going to make a difference to its performance!, if anything, all its going to do is, make an already twitchy, nervous car worse!

I hope the FOTA pulls in to the pits after one lap, pack up and strike until both dictators - Max and Bernie are removed from office.

normally i'd be excited to see rain but the fact is, with mclaren being so horrible this year the race at the front really wont be that good. i expect vettel to drive away with the win if it does rain. sure, button may not make many mistakes in the wet but hes simple just not fast in it. it would have been great to see hamilton and vettel both with competitive cars for it. take monza 2008, vettel won, but hamilton clearly proved he was the fastest in the rain. this could truly be a great race if hamilton and vettel were out front

I hope the skies open and there's a deluge that stops the race like in Malaysia. If we're lucky, the drivers/teams will be in the same position where there's a .5... If they get another fraction, the numbers will become whole numbers again and we won't have to worry about the decimals again... Either way, if it will be wet, that will be great news for Vettel and Hamilton.

Good for Vettel and for Button. However, the Red Bull car is by a mile the best car in the wet, so expect Vettel to walk it with Webber second and the Brawns 3rd and 4th...bit like China really

I think Vettel & Button have both proven to be pretty good in the wet - didn't they both get their first victory in the wet? Hopefully the rain will even things up a bit and we'll have a decent fight for a win - maybe a Williams, Toyota or Renault will take a win. Qualifying should be interesting!!

'onehunglow', it's still necessary to get temperature into wet tyres, just like dry tyres. If tyre temp is a problem for Brawn then it will be tough in wet conditions for them. We'll have to wait and see

Fanoff1, we saw that it is still very necessary in China. If you remember the race, you should be able to remember Button swerving down the back-straight in order to try and get heat in the tyres. For Red Bull, wet races are going to give them a chance at the championship. For Brawn, wet races could yet lose them the championship.

Vettel is great, still I hope it turns warm and dry because Button should win it after so many years of honest but fruitless effort. I have some emotion for Webber too... a good guy due for a good time.

Excellent news. Button can remind us of how good he is the wet.

With Full wets on, is there a requirement to still put heat in the tires for mecanical grip, or will it all be down to balance of the car?

It certainly does look good for Red Bull. Hope Vettel scores ten and Button zero so the championship will be exciting!
