A British GP will survive the likes of bernice and maxiline. The indian GP is a waste of financial resources, why is maxiline not commenting on such immoral waste. Oh poor robson, now he is indian. Only a freak can claim to be different nationalities.

It was never going to happen. It was just Ecclestones way of creating a space enabling faraway land to step in. pay him his millions, and create a new GP. Perhaps another Valencia bore?

If think Bernie knew they wouldn't be able to afford it and is waiting to step in and take over. That way he will get what he's always wanted,THE BRITISH GRAND PRIX.

i agree totally with philtypr-you're spot on, but surely you must agree anything in india will be better than enduring another british GP. i wrote last year that donnington wont happen but this was rubbished from many quarters-looks like i'm right again

More money for Bernie then, He'll fine Donnington for not being able to stage the race, then fleece Silverstone AGAIN to hold the GP for a year or two, while constantly slagging the circuit off, and eventually he'll remove the British GP from the calander, and we'll go to India to another souless, dusty new circuit, full of empty grandstands.....

I remember Martin Brundle's comments on one of his grid walks last year, it was soon after the announcment was made about Donnington. He cast serious doubts over Donnington and suggested that we shouldn't be too surprised to see the British GP back at Silverstone in the not too distant future....I tended to agree with him, and still do but we'll have to wait and see.

I agree with THussey but what will matter at the end of the day is where anyone can raise £100 million for a race track. I have always said I can't see it ever happening.

What did we all say about the track? It's not going to succeed. How is Donnington possibly better than Silverstone? Sure, Silverstone is simplistic - but it's that precise level of simplicity that makes it a brilliant track.
