Senna: Dogs a serious concern

Bruno Senna was shocked that a dog was able to get onto the Buddh International circuit during Friday's practice.

Friday's first practice for the Indian GP had to be red flagged for five minutes when a stray dog walked onto the circuit.

However, it wasn't the day's only incident as prior to practice, officials in a Safety Car attempted to chase another dog off.

And Senna, who was forced to retire from a GP2 race in Istanbul in 2008 after hitting a dog that had wandered onto the track, says it is a serious issue.

"When I arrived at the track I saw that exact dog walking around the entrance of the paddock," the Renault driver told Autosport.

"It shows that no one really paid attention to it and the fact that it got into the track is difficult to believe.

"In the drivers' briefing I will be sure to raise the point."

He added: "It's clear that it's taken very seriously since my incident in GP2 in 2008 as they red-flagged the session.

"Let's hope that they pay more attention to uninvited animals on the track."
