Virgin are determined to end a disappointing 2011 campaign on a positive note at this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix.
The Dinnington squad had high hopes of moving closer to the midfield at the start of the season, but reliability woes throughout the year have seen them struggle at the back of the grid. They are on course to finish last in the Constructors' Championship with only one race to go as their best results have been two P14s through Jerome d'Ambrosio while HRT have managed a P13.
Team principal John Booth says their biggest aim for the race at Interlagos is to see both d'Ambrosio and Timo Glock finish the race.
"This is of course the final race in what has been a tough but eventful year for the team," Booth said.
"We've put an awful lot in place for the future, however, and whilst it's always sad to end one season I'm already looking forward to the next.
"Reliability has been the watchword of our 2011 campaign but, disappointingly, we have experienced a couple of problems in the last two races which have prevented us achieving the two-car finish that we have been consistently racking up through the year.
"I hope we can reverse that situation and end 2011 on a high by getting both cars to the finish this weekend."
