Maldonado reprimanded and fined

Pastor Maldonado has been reprimanded and slapped with a fine following his collision with Sergio Perez at Silverstone.

Perez was forced to retire from the British Grand Prix while the Venezuelan crossed the finishing line in 16th place after they made contact on lap 13.

The Sauber driver slammed Maldonado following his DNF, saying the Williams driver "doesn't respect other drivers" and urged the stewards "to do something".

Maldonado, meanwhile, insisted he didn't do anything wrong, claiming the corner was "his" and "that is racing".

The stewards have decided to hit him with a reprimand and a 10 000 Euro fine.

Meanwhile, Perez's Sauber team-mate Kamui Kobayashi has received a 25 000 Euro fine for dangerous pitstop.

The Japanese driver overshot his mark during his second pit stop on lap 39 and crashed into his mechanics. Several of them hit the ground but no one was seriously injured.
