Valentino Rossi says Formula One is no longer in his future despite once considering a swap from two wheels to four.
Rossi last tested for Ferrari back in January 2010 when he spent two days at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain.
But instead of making the move to four wheels permanent, the seven-time MotoGP Champ opted to remain on two wheels.
Now, three years later, Rossi, who is back with Yamaha this season, says his opportunity to switch has gone by.
"I'm done with F1 unfortunately," the 34-year-old told Sky Italia.
"I will continue racing for as long as I'm competitive, (but) I'm too old (for F1), that train has passed."
But just because he won't be taking part in F1 that doesn't mean Rossi's passion for the sport has diminished.
"I'll be cheering for Ferrari, Alonso and Raikkonen," he added.
