Todt: Concorde Agreement imminent

FIA chief Jean Todt believes that the sport is closing in on the signing of a new Concorde Agreement.

The previous agreement, which is made made between the FIA, the Formula One teams and commercial rights holder Formula One Administration, expired at the end of last year and the respective parties have been working feverishly to get a new deal in order.

According to Todt, this could be achieved in the coming weeks.

"I think we have all the ingredients to allow the FIA and FOM and the teams to finalise the signatures of the Concorde Agreement," Todt told the Financial Times.

"All the discussions we have agreed, and we are in the situation where we need to finalise it in writing. I am confident it should happen in the coming weeks."
