Hulkenberg backing Ricciardo

Nico Hulkenberg says Red Bull should chose Daniel Ricciardo rather than Kimi Raikkonen for next year's Championship.

Red Bull Racing are currently in the hunt for a driver to replace Mark Webber as Sebastian Vettel's 2014 team-mate.

Toro Rosso's Ricciardo and 2007 World Champion Raikkonen have emerged as the favourites with Red Bull team boss Christian Horner singing both drivers' praises.

However, if the choice was left to Hulkenberg, he says he would opt for Ricciardo.

"I would want him," the Sauber driver told Auto Motor und Sport.

"Daniel is a fast driver and finally a young driver would have the chance to prove himself."
