Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone has confirmed that New Jersey won't host the Grand Prix of America next year, although the Brit added that he hopes to have a race there in 2015.
The New Jersey race was included in the provisional calendar for 2014 that was published in September as was supposed to take place between the Monaco and Canada grands prix, during the first weekend of June.
Ecclestone, however, confirmed that on Tuesday the race has been postponed for 'lots and lots and lots of reasons'.
"We are not satisfied it's going to happen in time," said during an exclusive interview with the Wall Street Journal.
"What we're aiming for is 2015."
The official calendar for the 2014 season is expected to be published at the FIA's World Motor Sport Council which takes place in Paris on Wednesday.
Apart from New Jersey, the race in Korea and the proposed return to Mexico is also likely to be dropped, which will reduce the number of events to 19.
