Ferrari wishes Schumacher well

Ferrari have released a statement wishing its former driver Michael Schumacher well, after the German racing legend was severely hurt during a skiing accident...

"These have been anxious hours for everyone at Ferrari since the news broke of Michael Schumacher's accident," the Italian manufacturer said in a statement.

"The whole Ferrari team is behind Michael."

Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenicali as well as President Luca di Montezemolo are "in constant contact with the German champion's family" and expressed "closeness and encouragement in such a difficult moment, with the hope of having better news soon," the statement continued.

The 44-year-old Schumacher was involved in a skiing accident while with his son at the Meribel resort on Sunday.

He is currently in a medically-induced coma and doctors confirmed on Monday that his condition was critical.
