No plans to replace Bernie

Bernie Ecclestone's job as chief executive of Formula One is safe, at least for now.

Earlier this year, the F1 supremo reliquished his role on the board after a Munich court pressed ahead with charges.

Ecclestone will head to German in April to answer charges of bribery relating to the sale of F1 to CVC. If found guilty he could go to jail or at the very least lose his job.

This has prompted speculation about who will replace him when the time comes with Red Bull team boss Christian Horner billed as the favourite.

For now, though, CVC have no intention of replacing the 83-year-old.

"We don't have any changes planned at the moment," a source close to CVC told The Guardian.

"The board constantly reviews facts and circumstances and the current position is that no changes are planned."
