Rumours of a possible F1 grand prix in Baku have circulated for several months but it now appears to have become a reality.

The inaugural race will take place in 2016 and will be held on the streets of Baku.

"We have signed the deal with Bernie Ecclestone and will announce it officially with an event in Baku shortly," said Rahimov told Inside The Games.
