McLaren and Sauber fined

McLaren and Sauber have both been slapped with fines for unsafe releases during pit-stops at Sunday's British Grand Prix.

McLaren were handed a €5,000 fine after Jenson Button's front-right wheel was not properly secured during a stop.

Button had barely made it out of the pit lane when his team realised the wheel was still loose and he was immediately ordered to stop his car. The Briton was forced to retire from the race.

Sauber received a stiffer penalty of €20,000 after Kamui Kobayashi was released in front of Pastor Maldonado following a visit to the pits.

The Japanese driver just managed to miss the Venezuelan's Williams, but collected the Force India air line on his way out of the pits.
