Gascoyne cagey over Trulli's position

It remains to be seen if Jarno Trulli will line up on the grid in 2012 after Caterham chief technical officer Mike Gascoyne refused to confirm or deny he will partner Heikki Kovailanen.

The 37-year-old Italian was named on the FIA's entry list in November alongside Kovalainen, but rumours that he will be replaced by former Renault driver Vitaly Petrov refuse to go away.

When asked by Sky Sports about the veteran's position at the Caterham, Gascoyne replied: "What I can say on Jarno is that he does have a contract with the team that is concrete and he will be part of the team."
