Glock 'on my way to a full recovery'

Timo Glock expects to be fully fit in time for the British GP after missing Valencia with a 'nasty intestinal infection.'

The Marussia driver arrived in the Spanish city ahead of the European GP already felling unwell. And although he took part in all three practice sessions, feeling a bit better, by Saturday afternoon he was once again in his sick bed.

Glock was taken to hospital for tests and missed qualifying before it was decided that he also would not contest the grand prix on the Sunday.

The German, though, says he is feeling much better and expects to be back in his car at the British Grand Prix.

"Generally I am feeling much better. I still feel a little weak in the legs, but otherwise I am okay," he told Marussia's website.

"It was obviously very disappointing that I was forced to miss the race in Valencia, but that is the way it goes sometimes. You cannot just ignore the symptoms I was experiencing.

"I am now on my way to a full recovery, although it will be a few more days before I am allowed to train again.

"I am now looking forward to the forthcoming weeks. Included on the programme is my home race with my Marussia F1 Team, which means it will be a busy and demanding period with lots of events and activities. However, by then I should be totally fit again."
