Fernando Alonso paid his first visit to Ferrari's Maranello factory on Friday as the Spaniard gears up for his first season with the Italian marque.
The double World Champion, who is not yet an official member of Ferrari given his contractual commitments which still tie him to Renault and his sponsors, arrived at Maranello early Friday morning.
The Spaniard first met with team boss Stefano Domenicali before heading off to chat with the engineers about next season's car, his seat fitting, a visit to the windtunnel and a meeting with Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo.
And although he's not yet permitted to drive a Ferrari F1 car, Alonso had the chance to put Ferrari 458 Italia road car through its paces around the team's private Fiorano test track.
