Felipe Massa is full of confidence following his two day run at Mugello in which he was able to get 90 laps under his belt.
The Brazilian continues his recovery from his a horrific crash in Hungary earlier in the year with two days of testing in the F2007. Massa's run was permitted despite the ban on testing as he was driving a two-year-old car on demonstration tyres.
Bad weather meant Massa was only able to complete 30 laps on day one, but with conditions improving on Wednesday, the Brazilian put in another 60 laps on day two.
The 28-year-old was buzzing after the test, confident that he is on track to return to the F1 grid next year.
"Although I was behind the wheel of a completely different car compared to the one for next year, I had a perfect feeling, which gives me hope for the upcoming season," said Massa.
"I was very quick immediately and nothing seems to have changed in my driving style compared to before the accident. I want to thank Ferrari for this present, which, together with my son, makes this Christmas even more special," he added.
