Nico Hulkenberg is the latest driver to voice his thoughts on pre-season testing and - like his rivals - he says it's too early to tell who is leading the way.
With the new ban on refuelling, lap times during testing no longer carry the weight that they used to. And that's because the cars could be a great deal more weight - anything up to 160kgs more if the fuel tank is full.
The Williams rookie spent two days testing at Jerez last week where he finished third on Wednesday, 1.3s down, and fourth on Thursday where he was 0.679s off the pace.
But, as Hulkenberg admits, that doesn't mean Williams's FW32 is the third or fourth fastest car on the grid.
"Everyone carries out their own program," Hulkenberg told Auto Moto und Sport.
"If Alonso puts in 50 laps around the track and Buemi does a quick run, I don't know whether he has 25, 50 or 70 kilos of fuel in the tank.
"So you worry about your own problems, try to fix them, so that your car reacts as you want it to. You may have a rough idea where you stand but we'll only know for sure in Bahrain."
