Prac Three: Hamilton's back on top

Despite Red Bull getting involved, the battle in Saturday's final practice for the Monaco GP was always going to be between the two Mercedes drivers.

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg traded blows in Saturday's final practice as the sun shone down on the Monte Carlo street circuit.

Rosberg held the advantage on the soft tyres but the swap to the supersofts saw Hamilton emerge as the driver to beat.

He clocked a 1:16.758 to take the P1 slot despite failing at any given time to string together a set of fastest sector times.

The Brit, who arrived in Monaco chasing his fifth win in succession, edged Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo by 0.050s while Rosberg was a further 0.066 down.

Ricciardo had briefly led on the supersofts only to be dropped by Hamilton.

Sebastian Vettel finished in fourth place ahead of the Ferrari's of Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen. The duo, along with Sergio Perez in his Force India, managed to get within a second of Hamilton's P1 time.

Surprisingly there were no issues of note despite the number of laps completed to make up for losing track time on Thursday.
