Felipe Massa has criticised Ferrari's decision not to run with KERS in Shanghai, claiming its removal has only reduced the pace of the F60.
The team announced earlier in the week that they would ditch the device in Shanghai due to "reliability" and "safety" concerns. However, after failing to finish in the top ten of either practice session in China, Massa has bemoaned the move.
"Here we are also running without KERS and as a result, we are losing even more performance, in addition to not having as much aerodynamic downforce as the best cars," he told Autosport.
"Our fight for the championship is ever more compromised.
The Brazilian was in particularly downbeat mood on Friday night and could find no reason to hope that the weekend would witness an improvement.
"I don't think we can expect a lot," the Brazilian said. "We did not have a great day today so the expectation for sure is not very high. But I am a professional, so I will do my best to have a good result tomorrow and the best results possible."
