Six races, four pole positions and five victories. No wonder Ross Brawn is starting to believe that the Jenson Button is showing all the signs of a champion.
Button extended his lead in the World Championship over second-placed Rubens Barrichello to 17 points after leading from pole to the chequered flag in Monaco.
It was another impeccable display from Button, and team boss Brawn admits the 29-year-old is exceeding all his expectations.
"It's a special race and a challenging weekend and in those circumstances, first and second is just stunning," Brawn told the BBC.
When asked if that was the race of a champion, Brawn answered: "Yeah... I'm lost for words with him really. He's exceeding everything I thought possible."
