Kimi: Not exactly where we wanted to beSaturday 5th July 2008World Champion Kimi Raikkonen was resolute after finishing third fastest in qualifying for the British GP.
Raikkonen, who won at Silverstone in 2007, finished behind pole-sitter Heikki Kovalainen and second-placed Mark Webber.
But the Ferrari driver, who is third in the championship at present, was pleased as he had done better than his rivals in the standings.
Championship leader and team-mate Felipe Massa, who is five points above Raikkonen, was back in ninth, while second in the Championship Robert Kubica was in tenth.
Raikkonen said: "We are not exactly where we want to be...but third position is still okay if you look at where the others are in the Championship ahead of me.
"Today was better compared to yesterday which was very difficult, but we put in a lot of effort to sort my car out.
"I'm pretty happy with the car, and I feel we should get some points." ©2006 - 365 Media Group Any reproduction, publication or redistribution of this material without the written agreement of 365 Media Group is strictly forbidden. |
