Fastest lap times: Heidfeld breaks Kimi's dominanceSunday 20th July 2008Nick Heidfeld has broken Kimi Raikkonen's dominance of the fastest lap times during the German Grand Prix.
Raikkonen recorded the fastest times in Britain, France, Canada Monaco, Turkey and Spain, but Heidfeld made sure the Finn didn't make it seven out of seven.
Heidfeld, who finished his home grand prix in fourth position, set his best time of 1:15.987 on lap 52. Race winner Lewis Hamilton was just 0.052 seconds slower than the BMW.
Although Kimi Raikkonen had a miserable afternoon at Hockenheim, he still set the third fastest lap time with 1:16.342. McLaren's Heikki Kovalainen and Raikkonen's team-mate Felipe Massa completed the top five.
Nelson Piquet, who picked up his first podium finish, was only ninth fastest with a 1:16.910.
