Senna yet to sign any F1 dealWednesday 27th August 2008Bruno Senna claims he has held informal discussions with nine of the 10 Formula One teams, but he has not signed any contract.
Senna, nephew of the late Ayrton Senna, has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Sebastian Vettel at Toro Rosso while McLaren are reportedly also interested in giving him test deal.
However, the GP2 Series leader insists he still shopping around for the "best options".
"There is absolutely nothing going on in terms of signing with anybody in F1," he told Autosport.
"I still have to understand who has the best options for me to follow. Then we can start negotiating. But at the moment we're still seeking those best options.
"I'm doing all the things I have to do, chatting to the right people in the F1 paddock, and we'll see how it turns out.
"Let's say the only team I haven't spoken to at all is Ferrari. So there's no real logical place for me to go yet.
"We've spoken to many, many people about the best option in both the short and long terms. There's no point in doing something for next year and then having nothing for 2010 or 2011." ©2006 - 365 Media Group Any reproduction, publication or redistribution of this material without the written agreement of 365 Media Group is strictly forbidden. |
