Horner: Nothing wrong with RB4's suspension

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has reiterated his confidence in the RB4's suspension design but says he understands the FIA earlier concerns.

During Friday's first practice in Malaysia, David Coulthard's RB4 suffer severed damage, including damage to his suspension, after he ran over a kerb.

It was the second time in six days that Coulthard's car had disintegrated in a fairly innocuous accident and resulted in the race stewards asking Red Bull to supply a technical report proving the car was safe to race.

The team did so and also allowed the FIA to conduct a thorough inspection of the car's suspension, following which the team was cleared to race.

No further problems befell the team on either Saturday or Sunday, leading Horner to stress once again that there are no problems with Red Bull's suspension.

"David ran wide at Turn 14 in the race and nothing fell off, so the car is able to deal with the usual parameters," he told Autosport.

"As I said earlier in the weekend, we are very comfortable with where we are with the suspension.

"But we also fully respect the FIA's actions during the weekend, and it being very responsible over safety critical items."
