Next year's F1 race at Valencia could be run under the 'Mediterranean Grand Prix' name.
This year's race, the inaugural Valencia event, was titled the European Grand Prix, however, next season that name will most likely be used by the Nurburgring as even though the venue is in Germany it doesn't have the rights to the German GP name.
And as there can't be two European GPs in one season, Valencia could use the 'Mediterranean Grand Prix' name.
According to Autosport, the name is owned by former F1 driver and current GP2 team owner Adrian Campos however he has agreed to give it free of change to F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone.
