The Stavelot corner at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit has officially been renamed Curve Paul Frere after Belgian racer Paul Frere.
During a ceremony at the Belgian circuit on Friday evening, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone unveiled a plague to Paul Frere, a former Le Mans winner and motor racing journalist.
In his honour Turn 15 at Spa, formerly known as Stavelot, has now been renamed Curve Paul Frere.
A memorial for the Belgian racer was also unveiled near the paddock entrance.
