Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost has been named the 'Team Principal of the Year' at the Professional World Motorsport Expo Awards held in Cologne.
The Toro Rosso team boss played an integral role in the team's success this past season with Sebastian Vettel claiming STR's first pole position and victory at the Italian Grand Prix.
The team went on to finish sixth in the Constructors' Championship, beating more illustrious teams such as Red Bull Racing and Honda.
Meanwhile the new Singapore circuit was also honoured with the Marina Bay track being named the 'Facility of the Year.'
"We are delighted that the efforts of the entire team and the invaluable contribution from all our fantastic partners have been recognised by this award," said Jonathan Hallett, the Singapore GP's media director.
"We have received a great many compliments from around the world since the running of the race in September, but this is an award given by our peers, the professionals who work in motor sports. It therefore is especially gratifying to receive this award."

"robson- are you sure that toro rosso got lucky??? last time i checked they were consistently finishing in the top 8 during the back half of the season. and mark my words that if sebastian vettel gets a competitive car under him he will win a world championship. he is one of the best drivers on the grid any given weekend. also, you truly think ferrari's team principal should have won the title after all of the mistakes that cost felipe massa the title???(pit lights...)ya right, maybe next time. just let the toro rosso team enjoy their well-deserved success."
