F1 commentator Martin Brundle has confirmed that he's off to the BBC next season when they take over the F1 coverage from ITV.
Earlier this year it was announced that the BBC would be making a return to F1 broadcasting in a five-year deal. This sparked some debate over whether or not the BBC should take on its predecessors commentators.
However, as yet only Brundle has been confirmed for the job with former Radio 5 Live commentator Jonathan Legard reportedly set to team up alongside him.
And although Brundle couldn't confirm the Legard reports, he has revealed that he is set to work for the BBC next season.
"I'm delighted to be able to tell you all that I'll be joining the BBC next year," he told Autosport.
"I've been commentating on Formula One for the past dozen years, and I briefly considered calling it a day. But in the end I decided to take up the BBC's offer and I'm now very excited about working for them next year."

"Great news! He's the only fella on the ITV crew that was worth recruiting for next year. Good knowledge, knows everyone in racing and a bit of a laugh when trying his luck for interviews on the grid pre race."
