Sebastian Vettel heads to the Nurburgring this weekend, dreaming of a victory on home soil.
The Red Bull racer is one of only two drivers to have won a grand prix this season, the other being Jenson Button. And as a result finds himself third in the Drivers' standings with the possibility of a World title within reach.
In order to do that, though, he's going to need to bag a few more race wins and what could be more perfect than winning at home.
"Yes, but generally by day..." he told his team's website when asked if let himself dream of winning in Germany.
"I am always happy when I have won a race. But listening to the German anthem in Germany when you are a German then it is definitely something very special."
Another thing special about the German GP will be the fans flocking to the circuit in the hope of witnessing a local win the race.
"I'd say it's like a soccer match when you play on your home ground. You always give 100%, but in a home race you're even more motivated, because at home you feel comfortable. Not far from the Nürburgring, in Kerpen, I got a lot of kart experience which is why I have many friends in this region," Vettel said.
"I like it that there are so many fans of motorsport and that these people are cheering and support you with horns, flags and stuff like this. That influences your mood in a positive way. There is nothing better than the in-lap in front of your home crowd after winning a race."
Vettel's chances of doing just that will be boosted by new updates for his RB5. "The guys in the factory are working hard, so we have new parts at every race," he revealed.

"I dont think this will be a good weekend for Brawn, I might be wrong but Ive a feeling it will be cold, damp and they'll be just that crucial bit off the pace"

"leatherface I have to agree with you. We saw in the likes of Bahrain and Barcelona, when Vettel is stuck behind someone he stays there and doesn't even look like he's challenging the guy in front. Take Bahrain - Button leapt past Hamilton but Vettel was behind him for a stint, looking like he was content with getting past at the stops. Trouble was he then got stuck behind Trulli who was on the wrong tyres yet still didn't challenge. I hope he proves me wrong as he's blindingly quick in clear air and a nice guy to boot, but so far he just seems mega-quick but not at all racy."

"As much as I have grown to dislike the German Anthem, I really hope the youngster shows them all a clean set of heels. Good luck to him."
