Etihad Airways and Aldar Properties have been ordered to pay Force India US$4.6m in damages after their sponsorship agreement.
Etihad and Aldar signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with Force India in 2007 when the team was formerly known as Spyker.
However, with new owner Vijay Mallya bringing in his Kingfisher Airline sponsorship, Etihad and Aldar pulled out of their deal with the team.
The matter was taken to court with a ruling handed down earlier this week stating that Etihad and Aldar had to pay Force India US$4.683 million in damages.
