Lotus team boss Tony Fernandes has announced that the new Formula One team has "signed its first driver".
Lotus is one of four new teams that will line-up on next year's grid and although there have been rumours about their line-up, there have been no confirmations.
Jarno Trulli is believed to be a favourite to race for the Malaysian team next season as is Anthony Davidson while Kamui Kobayashi has expressed an interest in the outfit.
F1, though, won't have to wait too long for an announcement as Fernandes wrote on his Twitter page that it will be made "soon."
"One Malaysia Formula 1 team, aka Lotus, has signed its first driver," he wrote. "Public announcement soon. The dream continues."
