Former Ferrari driver Jean Alesi has urged people not to put too much pressure on Jules Bianchi ahead of his first test with Ferrari.
Formula 3 Euro Series champion Bianchi will make his F1 test debut when he takes part in the young drivers' session in Jerez in early December.
Alesi, the last Frenchman to race for the Scuderia, warned that the F60 is not the easiest car to drive.
"We must not underestimate this test but we must also know how to put it into perspective: we know the difficulties that the F60 had to cope with and especially through the ones two very experienced drivers such as Luca Badoer and Giancarlo Fisichella had this year," Alesi is quoted by ITV.
"Other drivers will run at the same time as Jules, some of them with a World Champion car and others who have already had an F1 experience."
Bianchi admits he is delighted to be given the opportunity and will use the session as a "learning phase".
"I can't find the right words - I think I will believe it when I sit in the cockpit of the Ferrari," said Bianchi.
"I will keep cool and I know it is just another step and that the road to success is very long if we want to fulfil the goals we have set ourselves together with my manager.
"I will use this session as a learning phase, no pressure, but totally focused and determined."

"He's in a very good position with this test. If he's not quick, it's the car. If he is quick however..."

"Alesi's words are surely only relevant to the French, i don't think anyone else is putting any pressure on this guy. i know i'm not"

"This test will show what kind of talent Bianchi has in one way or another. He doesn't have to set record laps for Ferrari to see he has talent."

"Once again I hope the guy has a good day and that the lunch is good too. The test means nothing I'm afraid."
