Hartley: Great opportunity to learn

Tuesday 1st December 2009

Brendon Hartley is looking forward to another opportunity to prove himself in F1 as he tackles Tuesday's young driver test with Toro Rosso.

The New Zealand racer will get behind the wheel of Toro Rosso's 2009 challenger at the Jerez test, which is only open to drivers with two or fewer grands prix starts to their name.

Hartley, though, will head into the test with more F1 experience than many of the others drivers whom he will share the track with, as the 20-year-old has already tested for both Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing.

"It's another great opportunity. I'm really grateful to be here driving the Formula 1 car again," he told Xtra.

"But yeah I mean the fact is I'm doing work for the team, so my aim is to do a good job and make no mistakes and hopefully learn as much as possible for myself - but also the team."

"Give it a good crack Brendon and hopefully we will see you behind the wheel having a comepitive pedal. Show Alguersuari that the seat should have been yours."
