'BMW to put a hole in their nose'

BMW are reportedly set to test Ferrari's latest aero device, a hole in the nose cone, in their wind tunnel in Hinwil.

Ferrari debuted the new nose cone, which features a hole situated just above the car's number, at Barcelona two weeks ago. The Italian stable went on to race the design at last weekend's Spanish GP where they claimed an emphatic 1-2.

Other teams are now catching on to the design, which BMW are planning on testing at their wind tunnel in Hinwil within the next few days.

Meanwhile other reports claim that Williams are considering testing the engine fin cover used by Renault and Red Bull in the Spanish GP.

The introduction of the new aero device greatly benefited Renault in Spain with Fernando Alonso qualifying P2 and looking on course for a points-finish before an engine failure put him out of the grand prix.

Both BMW and Williams, though, will have to wait until after the Turkish GP to test the devices on the track as there is no testing taking place between the Spanish and Turkish races.
